pheobe had kennel cough from the breeder i got her from. the breeder denied it and said she must have picked it up on the plane but kennel cough is actually in the body for a long time ( cant remember exact #) before the signs come out. so it had to have been from her breeding facility.

im not one for the vet's help at all, since ive only had horrible experiences with them.

i did my own research. and found out that the vets can do nothing, for kennel cough so they provide antibiodics, which has nothing to do with the kennel cough virus.

i searched and searched and read and read and even talked to a few experienced yorkie breeders. and made up my own remedy. and from my experience of what i did, i stand by it 100%.

usually a dog will have the cough anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks. pheobe was better by the end of her third day after i noticed she was sick. all i did was keep her warm, only short short trips out side to go potty, and never without her coat on. i gave her a lick of honey whenever she seemed to have a little coughing fit. and its calmed it almost immediatly. in the morning, at about 1 pm and at night i gave her warm honey water mixed with 250 miligrams of vitamin C. she would usually have the water gone within an hour or so. i beleive the vitamin C really does the trick since it boosts the immune system.

im not saying take my word for it but i betcha he'll be betetr in no time!
