Learn more about donating or fundraising to help animals; join Michele Glick, founder of an online fundraising team of crafters called Etsy for Animals (etsyforanimals.etsy.com). This week is for anyone who enjoys or makes handcrafted items…and has a soft spot for rescued animals!

You’re invited to participate throughout the week by posting your comments and questions at http://network.bestfriends.org/Blogs/Detail.aspx?b=1679

Introduction from Michele Glick:

I would like to introduce you to Etsy for Animals: Artists Helping Animals. We are over 340 artists and craftspeople who love and help animals. Many of us give part of our profits to animal charities and/or rescue animals. Our website is: http://etsyforanimals.com. Our "Etsy for Animals Shop: 100% to the Animals" gives all of its profits to the Etsy for Animals Charity of the Month at http://etsyforanimals.etsy.com. ; Our blog is http://etsyforanimals.blogspot.com We welcome any seller on Etsy.com ("Your place to buy & sell all things handmade") who loves animals, and we accept donations of handmade goods/vintage/supplies to sell in our shop.

This week, I'll answer your questions such as, "My group has some volunteers who are fantastic at making art and/or crafts! How can they sell their handmade goods to benefit our nonprofit?" or, "I love animals and want to support artisans and animals. How do I make sure my purchase will help animals?" or, "I'm an artisan and I'd like to donate one of my handmade items for the animals—what are my options?" Please join me for a fun week of fundraising!
