I would suggest telling them you don't want the rabi shot until the last visit(Not sure what the age is in MI they have to have them by)..here in SC, it's 3 mos now, but, I wouldn't let them give mine hers until the last set of shots..I know here, they say start them on heartworm prevntitive around 6 mos of age, but, right now, the mosquitoes aren't out in MI. so, that won't be a worry right now..When you do start on heartworm preventitive, I would suggest the sentinel, it's a once a month pill, and my shepherd loves hers(it's a chewable tablet)..I like revolution also, but, don't like the mess on their backs..I'm going to start using sentinel this spring on all 6 of mine..
Maybe you'll be lucky like I was, none of my dogs got sick from shots, and none of them ever whined when getting them..that helps out...!
