This could be either lp or Laxating patela, the vet should be able to tell if it is the knee by feeling it ,an x-ray can tell if it is LP. Knees sometimes will go back on and the dog should be rested in his crate to prevent more injury, with the lp it will need surgery. These are reasons to buy from a responsible breeder, your chances of getting these problems are much less.
