CKC is either Continental Kennel Club or Canadian Kennel Club (usually the first).
There is always a chance that a dog registered with any kennel club is not purebred but that increases with Continental. There are a few good CKC breeders but it isn't a good registry in general. I would most likely never buy a Continental registered dog (and never to breed or show).
Canadian Kennel Club (which doesn't apply to you) is fine also. |

Oh no!! I'm not tryin to get anything heated around here, I just honest to God didn't know the difference and wanted to know so I could tell my sister. I asked her what she wanted, an AKC one or a CKC and she said, well I guess and AKC, I don't know what CKC is, so now that I know, I can tell her. She doesn't want to ever breed it or use a male for a stud if she decided to get a male, she just wants one as a pet to love and spoil and adore. She does want a pure yorkie though. Thanks for your replies ladies, I appreciate it very much.
