I can't help you with LP but I can tell you what happened with us. One day I noticed that he was lifting his leg when he was standing, still jumping and playing and showing no signs of pain, so I called the vet. They said just to watch him as long as everything else was normal and call them with a follow up in a few days. A few days past and he was still lifting the leg, still running and jumping and acting normal, we went in and the vet had first said they thought that maybe he dislocated his hip, and this would require them to just pop it back in to place but they wanted to take xrays. On the Xray it was very obvious that he had shallow hip sockets and they wanted me to take him to the local dog hospital, I did and they informed me he needed hip surgery. Well needless to say I was a wreck, and Milo pulled through with flying colors, he is no worse for the ware, and I just have a few more grey hairs than I had before. I know it is your baby, and you want what is best, but try not to obsess and stress to much, as my grandma used to say to me there is no sense in worrying about things you can't control it will only make you go in for plastic surgery sooner than you need too. Good luck with lilly and let us know how it goes with the Vet.
