i'd stick with the crate.. but i only say that because Layla LOVES her crate.. it was tough going for the first couple weeks.. but i put a pillow in the bottom to raise the floor of it and put a pillow in the back to make it a smaller cozier place.. she is going ot be 2 in march and still LOVES her crate... i have to pull her out in the morning..also it is great for travelling and when she stays at her babysitters. Give it time.. be tough... dont' look her directly in the eye
or you'll end up giving in again
