That is so funny because the answer for me is... never!
If I read something that makes me laugh for real I make a point of saying that I am literally laughing out loud but I type lol all the time. Hee hee, I'm a fraud!
It's also funny how often I use it in my own posts as though I'm so funny I'm making myself laugh.
