Well we all know how to pronounce the state of Nevada -- but we have a town in Iowa, spelled the same, but pronounced Navaydah - long a in the middle |
I've heard people say Nevada differently too. I say Neh VA da, likes it's pronounced in Spanish...being that it is a Spanish word. hehehe
We have a town here in Jersey called Bogota. This also happens to be the capital of Colombia. Here in Jersey it's called Bah GO ta. The capital of Colombia is Bow go TA.
