Default Was there a particular moment...

when you knew your puppy understood they weren't to go on the carpet?

Kacee is housetrained now. It's simply because there is someone with her 24 hours a day, not because of anything that I did other than work at it very hard. I really want to thank Stitches29 for sharing how she taught her little baby to ring the bell. I had never heard of that before and it has been a wonderful, wonderful tool!

She goes to the door now and rings the bell and usually barks or makes some similar voiced statement. I can't believe it! I love it!

The moment I knew that she understood that she wasn't to go on the carpet was one evening when she had peed in the hallway. She follows me everywhere and she followed me when I went with my enzymatic cleaner, paper towels, and brush and while I was cleaning it up I was explaining to her that she is not supposed to go on the carpet, but on the pee pad or outside. (Do I sound totally crazy yet?) She was looking me right in the eyes as I said this and for some reason I knew that she understood. Does this make sense or am I completely bonkers?
