Mine hardly ever bark, unless there is a door bell on the TV, or another dog barking on the TV, or when its time to go outside. That is the only time they bark. But just have the vet make sure he is fine. Once you get them barking they will be like kids talking.....can't wait till they do then you want them to stop.....ha ha
