Hi I'm new on this list, don't even have my own Yorkie yet, but I do know a lot about Orlando and Dog parks. I live in walking distance to Downey Park, but it is totally unacceptable for Yorkies as they can escape easily to a very busy highway.
West Orange is beautiful as is Fleet Peeples (my favorite because it is in Winter Park and not far from the whole foods store). Mill Slough is in Kissimmee, a good bit from Orlando, but close to Disney.
Those three are the only ones with sufficient tree cover. It is dangerous for Yorkies in those other parks because we have tons of large bird predators.
Just to legitimize, I don't have my own, but my son and daughter-in-law have just had their first litter and if things go well I soon will! I helped raise one of their dogs, but they have since moved to Ft. Lauderdale and I miss my Zappa and Zoe! I can't wait to tell everyone the whole story (I have to get permission cause I think my DIL is a member of this list too and I don't want to steal her thunder!)
