 OMG, does my Gus hold a grudge!
Gus, my found Yorkie (mix?) has been sick with an ear infection, black, yucky stuff, head shaking, etc. Anyway, I brought him to the vet and quite a few $$ later, had three different medications and ear drops, ear wash, etc to give him for seven days straight. Well, now my little man is totally P** off at me, will run in the other direction as soon as I come into a room, right under the bed, where he transforms into a vicious, man eater, snapping turtle. I can't get him out without getting bitten, so I have to wait and wait until he comes out and I can catch him in a sneaky way, either by blocking his way or getting someone else to catch him. Even then, he kind of acts like he will bite me. Not even a treat will entice him to come out.
Has anyone else ever experienced this?
I am not sure how to handle it, I don't know the dog all that well, as he just came into my household about five months ago. It seems like he will never forgive me or trust me again.
