I do agree with this...... given the fact that this pup is already the age it is, there are a lot of things he is used to. If you are able to be with him all day this far, you should probably look for someone that can do the same.

And yes, temperments are definitely formed according to how they are raised (most of the time). Both of our indoor dogs (first the toy poodle and now the Yorkie) were "supposed to be" hyper-ish yappy dogs (according to most of what I had read) BUT we ended up with very laid back dogs. I strongly feel that this is because of how our household is. You should try your best to match up your pup and the new owner according to what you know your pup to need. Good luck!
