Of course it is ultimately your decision as to whom you sell your dogs to. You have every right to turn down anyone that you don't feel entirely comfortable with. With that said, I do have to say that if no breeders ever sold to people based soley on the fact that they work, I think a very large percentage of us on YT would not have these beautiful pets - and that would be a shame. My husband and I work full time - I work an hour away from home but my husband is an insurance adjustor who is on the road part and sometimes most of the day. I think for the most part though Tatum is only crated for 4-5 hours at a time. I know she just sleeps while she's in there and she seems to be very happy. I feel the same way about breeders who absolutely won't sell to people with children. My children's world would not be the same had it not been for the toy poodle we had when they were babies and now Tatum. But that's a whole 'nother thread, right? Again, it's ultimately your decision but I don't think "working dog owners" are the worst choice out there. There are many other factors that should be taken into consideration.
