If it is yellow or green, it is an infection. Don't feel bad about bathing your puppy, that most likely had nothing to do with it. As was already mentioned, keep the eyes cleaned with a warm wash cloth. Don't try to "dig" into the eye, just take off the matting. You will want to check on your pup during the night too and make sure you keep them as clean as possible until Thursday when the vet can take a look. I'd leave a little of the matting there on Thursday so the vet can see it. Let us know, ok?
