My sister was just as nervous as you were when my little nephew (he was about 11, I THINK - or 12 at the time) went away for church camp in Colorado for a WEEK. OMG, we ALL nearly lost our minds (I am like a second mother to my nephew so I was just as nervous as she was). He had never ever been away from home for more than 1 night at a time (except for when he stays with me) - so we were FREAKING OUT. We didn't even think that he was going to want to go since he would be gone for a whole week...but he did so she let him
And it only made matters WORSE when he called us on his 4th night there sick, crying and throwing up saying that he wanted to come home (he actually WAS sick with a stomach bug though, and fever)
OMG
We wanted to just drive there and get him...poor little guy
