My baby just turned two -- but his breeder has a girl who recently celebrated her 16th birthday and, besides a little arthritis and poor eyesight, is doing well. The smaller the dog the longer the lifespan. I've read that Great Danes only live about 6 years, while little ones like our can get into the teens.
