I was just gonna suggest using the ouchless rubberbands. You can get them from Walmart or Target. They are really tiny and way easier to get out than reg. rubberbands. I used them in my daughter's hair when she was a baby. She had really fine silky hair and they worked great. Now I use them for my puppy's top knot and they work really well too.
