Default Dental Health....

I just purchased an adult male yorkie, 4 years old. I was told when I arrived to pick him up that he had just lost his top two front teeth and he was quite under weight. I brought him home anyway! He has gained some weight, i feed eukanuba puppy (dry) and chickensoup puppy (canned)... however, now his front bottom teeth are loose. His teeth are terribly brown and I can only assume that he has been fed canned food to keep his weight up while showing (his is a UKC Ch.) with out good dental care. (or could this just be a terribly genetic trait?) I am making progress with him learning to allow me to brush his teeth, but the front ones I'm afraid, he will lose (or have pulled) MY QUESTION: (after all that !! Who can recommend a dietary supplement that will improve his dental health overall? Just maintenance isn't enough now. Can anyone recommend something that they KNOW works. I would love some suggestions. I'm afraid if I don't have the time to "try and wait for results" or my little one will just continue to lose his teeth.. bit by bit. Thank you.
