Yes, I do know it was definitely true...not sure if it's still going on or not now. They also use restaurant grease in commercial kibbles (rendered fats). There is all kinds of nasty stuff in most kibble & canned foods. Another reason why I choose to feed a raw diet. There is a book all about the horrors of commercial pet food but I can't remember the name right now
