| My Review of the two $14.99 beds and K9 Tent These things are from Collections, Etc. 1. the K9 Castle/Tent
Overall, its really cute and the price is great. Its large and Stewie went in it right away with a little coaxing from me. His toys fit in there and he batted his ball against the wall of the castle for quite some time. I was displeased with the fact that some parts of it had tiny stains. If I get something brand new, I want to stain it myself. The stains were dark and small, but still. It took FOREVER to put together. The instructions are on a tissue-type paper - very thin and they were ripped when they got here.
Verdict: one thumb up out of two. 2. Royal Pet Canopy bed It looks just like the photo. However, it is a little cheaply made (of course I expected that -- it was cheap). You have to screw the whole thing together and it still doesn't seem secure even after I used an Allen wrench to tighten it all up. Its smaller than it looks. Stewie fits on there comfortably, but I don't think two dogs would fit. Also, he started to chew on the feathery canopy (he just couldn't help himself! It looked so fluffy and tasty) When he tried to jump up on it, he kept hitting his head on the canopy. Definitely good for one dog up to 6lbs, preferably a "short" dog.
Verdict: one thumb up out of two 3. Royal Pet Chaise This is the best of the three products I purchased. It feels more secure when Stewie is on top of it and is definitely large enough for more than one dog to be sprawled out on. Its not as cheaply made as the canopy bed. Stewie also liked it the best; he took a nap on it and munched on his Greenie on top of it. It wasn't as tricky to assemble as the canopy bed and is MUCH more sturdy. All around an A+. Plus, its really cute!
Verdict:
I'll post pix later.
