I hear that you should introduce them in a new environment and then bring them home together at the same time (when you see that they are getting along).
Since they've already been introduced, I agree that it's only a matter of time. Maybe you can make a game out of the situation and give them treats for everything they do together (ie. when they are in the same room, when they sit next to each other, etc.).
