someone once posted of some stuff you can get at wal-mart or target...it is called Murray's superior hair dressing pomade. you get in the section with the "african american" products..it's in a bright orange tin. It is very thick, but I have found that if I just put a dab of it on my fingers, rub it in my fingers really good, then rub it on maggies face hair, it lays down better. I am the same way as you...trying to grow that stuff out and it is HORRIBLE. but this stuff works really good. the first time I used it, I used WAY too much
but I am getting used to it now
oh...and it's only like $2. super cheap!!!
