congrats on your new puppy and welcome to the group

First keep in mind you have a brand new puppy. He is still a baby and it takes awhile for a baby to learn thing. Where are you keeping him when you go out? Just in 1 room or does he have the run of the house? At his age he should be confined to the smallest room that does not have carpet(for easier cleaning). When my puppies where growing up I had them in the guess bathroom. Just enough space for a bed, 2 bowls, and a spot to lay down newspaper for them to pee/poop. Can't start potty training if you give them too much space.

As for eating poop. My female only did it when she had her puppies after they were weaned she stop. But I believe you can buy some type of powder you put in their food that will cause them to stop eating their poop. I don't know how well it works but I've heard a couple of people tried it and it worked for them.

Good Luck
