Maybe some rescues don't know what their doing but we seem to have done right by the 386 Yorkies that we've placed through our rescue in the last 27 months. And yes, some of the homes have younger children in them. Not to discriminate we have also adopted to people in their late 70's and even to an 81 year old man. They deserve to have a companion also.

To generalize all rescue's as the same is not fair.

My post was about people only putting up listings of small little Yorkies or puppies which the majority pups that come through rescue do not exist. The little young one's that are up for adoption have a list of people a mile long to adopt them. The 2 year old 10lbs boys stay in rescue because nobody wants them. So you see,it's not always the rescue group and if you could see what comes through my email on a daily basis you would know it's the people. There are days when I shake my head at how some people can be and ask myself, "is is me"?

I have 2 10lbs boys in my home that came in unruly with major social problems. I have worked with one for almost 2 months and he is now ready for a home. For all the time I've put into him why can't I ask the potential adopter questions and see where he's going to live and check their vet references. I have every right to know and being that I've put my heart and soul into this boy I want only the best/right home for him. If it's too much of a problem to fill out the application and go through the process, we don't want that person to apply.

I'm sorry your tired of Yorkie Rescues. I'm glad I will NEVER be tired of it.

Sometimes there are posts on here that a person inquired about a Yorkie and either the rescue didn't get back with the person at all (I guess they aren't as desperate as they say to place these dogs) or they have too many rules and very few people would be a match (like fenced in yard). So maybe people are trying to adopt the bigger Yorkies but the rescues are the problems. I don't know...
