I personally really like the scrap quilts "Can't stop spinnin'" but you'll have to decide how busy you want the quilt(and how much sewing you really want to get into). I know my public library has a lot of books with full size quilting patterns. I actually made myself a drafting table a few years ago and inlaid some patterns from my library.

For colors I'd bring a scrap of you're Woody material along to a fabric store and see what looks nice with it. I'm a fan of complimentry colors so I'd look at blues and oranges to flesh it out but maybe you want to follow colors that he's got going on in his bedroom or living room.
