I am so sorry this happened. I am so glad though that the vet will be keeping her and will be doing everything they can to save her. At the very least you will be able to know that she is with someone who will love and care for her as much as you do.
That woman should be arrested for neglect and possibly for harrassment.
It sucks though that the vet wouldn't work with you.
