I'm no expert but I really think when they are changing from puppy to adult coat - they get knotted very easily - I had the same problem with Cheri when she was a baby - Using a GOOD conditioner and a spray on helps alot - I used Johnsons No More Tangles for babies....sprayed some on after her bath then brushed her when she was semi dry - It really helped.
If the matts are too bad and will hurt to get out - I would cut them off - they can really be close to the skin and pull on your baby when they move.... |
