I have two girls that always have puppies on the 59th day from the first tie. One more that goes 63-65 days (she is spayed now). So far, I have been fortunate to not have a night delivery. doesn't mean I sleep tho for about a week before and a week after. My x-pen with the whelping box is at the foot of my bed. i just lay across the foot of the bed so I can hear every little sound. Sometimes, the temp goes up and down for a few days but usually when it is 98 for about about twelve hours straight, I have babies. Sometimes it will drop to that range then go back up a little for a day or so then drop again to the 98 range. This is usually when my puppies are born. After the second drop. |
