Default Have I done something wrong?

Okay, Brady will be four months old in on the 23rd of January. He's a great joy to have and we think his training is on track. He will use the pee pad once during the day during a duration that my husband is away for an extended period and the rest of the time will go outside. Using treats and a lot of tummy rubs he has learned to come, sit, and lay (we're working on stay ).

Now in the last week when we call Brady to come he will come but only to a certain point. He won't come right up to us so he can receive a rub under the chin or a treat. When we move closer to him to pick him up he will step back or run to his bed. He sits in our lap, cuddles next to us in bed at night and we play on the floor with him every day. We haven't done anything to scare him, we would never hit him or yelled at him and we are baffled.

Is this something we have done wrong while training, do you think he's really scared, or is this a game? Anyone else have a yorkies that has done this?
