What I would probably do in your case (if I could afford the canned) is to pick a canned food that fits each dog (it might be the same for all) and feed each dog the minimal amount suggested on the can for their weight. That way you know they are getting enough vitamins. I would probably split that amount of canned up into two or three feedings a day.
Then you could either add a meal of dry or free feed dry if they won't overeat.
