I like homecooked but am not recommending it because some days it gets very old calculating and weighing out everything (which you can get around if you aren't as picky as me).
I prefer canned over kibble by far. It is much less processed and has good amounts of moisture. I prefer to stay lower protein with Yorkies (doesn't mean it's right) because I have found no long term studies by a vet school that show high protein doesn't hurt their kidneys. I don't think it does but I'm not willing to take that chance until I see proof and maybe even never. This is something you will have to find your place in.
Some good canned foods are Evangers and Evangers and Evangers
It is made here and they get most of their ingredients in the US.
If you want to go with kibble Innova is fine along with Canidae (not my favorite but certainly a good food), Natural Balance (they had recalls though) and Wellness.
