Artemis, Canidae etc. are very good foods, in terms of kibble. Canned is better nutritionally (bc it's less processed, less denatured) and it has more moisture, which is always good. Personally, I like higher protein diets if it works for the dog - bc it is more natural for their systems. That said, high protein kibbles can cause increased thirst - so if you go that route, I'd add in canned for more moisture.

If you want standard protein - the brands you mentioned are good; you could do a combo of canned and kibble - they'd probably love that. Another brand I LOVE is Natures Variety (they have canned, kibble (grain free Instinct line), freeze dried raw, and raw): www.naturesvariety.com.
