I used to have one. I loved him to pieces, but will never have one again. my experience was horrible...BUT...I also lived in an apartment and worked full time. so I wasn't able to give him the exercise he needed. If you have a lifestyle that would allow you to give an "Iggy" LOTS AND LOTS of exercise, he would probably make a great pet.
I will say this....they are VERY VERY hard to potty train. I had SOOOO much trouble with him...and I have never had trouble potty training any dog. He enjoyed pooping and peeing in his crate and playing in it. I would come home every day at lunch to let him out and he would have to have a bath. I would walk in the room and want to puke. and it's not like I would leave him for long...I worked at the apartment complex I lived at and would come home every chance I got to let him out. as much as every 2 hours. but he just enjoyed playing in his mess. it was the weirdest thing ever!!!
on the positive side...he was one of the sweetest, most loving, most fun loving dogs I have ever seen. He was so incredibly cute and a LOT of fun (when he wasn't covered in poo). They are really hilarious dogs. if it was wet outside, he would walk on his front legs when we went out. It cracked me up.
and yes, they run REALLY fast
