Or you could go with Savanna, Anna, Vanna, Tana, (or even Hannah Montana LOL), if you want something that sounds the same. But really she will catch on even if it's totally different sounding.
As for your husband I have a similar situation. Mazey came with the name Lulu. I didn't think it fit her, but my husband liked it. So he calls her Lulu, but the rest of us call her Mazey. She answers to both no problem. Husband's can be stubborn that way
