I had Gizmo's name before I brought him home, but I was lucky enough to meet him when he was five weeks old and visit with him every week until we brought him home. I was able to get to know him and learn his personality a little.
It was difficult to think of a name. I had this huge list of names and had them narrowed down by his 9th week to about 5. Then, when I went to see him and tried the names out on him, Gizmo seemed to be perfect.
