I love these!! I would SOOOO buy the monkey one for Amelia, but I'm currently looking for something more discreet for the now -- so I can take her out with me. Personally, I think these are smokin - and I've seen a lot of people flying with them.
I think it depends on the airline you fly with b/c each airline has different standards, as do different countries. Furthermore, I think it has to be big enough so that your baby come move around. Our kitty, Osiris, has moved to Europe and back with us, and he fit into a soft sided Samsonite carrier that we carried into the cabin. I think that disclaimer is maybe to cover their hineys in case you don't get one big enough. Or in case you're flying to a foreign country with crazy regulations.
