If he vet checks clear, he could already have you trained! (They are SO good at that!!!!)
You say he sits and cries when you leave, and then you go pick him up, which could mean that he knows if he stays put and cries, you will just come get him. I got little Ranger at 12 weeks, and he was naturally a timid boy. He prefered to sit in his little crate, and didn't always want to come out, however, he would make a FUSS when I would leave.
I put him on a leash and attached it to me for a week, and he learned to follow me. Now I can't go ANYWHERE without him. When he goes to see a vet and gets the "all clear" you might want to consider a puppy school class so you both can bond. Good luck, and please keep us updated. |
