Hi megan Ive got a cairn terrier 4 yrs old called flynn and yes their coats are wirey and are stripped (pulled out by hand by the groomer) Aparantly it doesnt hurt them as when the coat is ready it pulls out really easy.I new I ruined flynns coat by getting it groomed normally but I dont show him and being the old soul he is he wouldnt of coped getting it stripped.
