Yeah, she was dragging my poor baby across the floor and holding his body up with the collar (because he was trying to lay down). In addition, we weren't learning how to heal, we were just learning how to walk on a leash. I'm personally not that concerned about walking perfectly on a leash so that's why I wouldn't use the collar. I would rather let him stop a sniff stuff than yank him around. In return, I don't get a perfectly behaved dog, but I figure you have to give a little and take a little.

When we go on short walks around my property, I just put a collar on Brody because the harness takes so much time. But, I don't pull on him - I just let him go at his own pace. Probably bad for training, but I just don't want to hurt my puppy. I do wish I could train Brody to do agility and cool stuff like that because it looks like so much fun, but I am not a good dog trainer and I know it!
