There are lots of rescues out there waiting for new homes. Adopting a rescue opens space for the rescue org. or humane society to take in more animals that would of been euthanized. Some rescues have issues you need to work on, and some are very happy and well adjusted off the bat. Either way you would be putting in work for a rescue or a new puppy. If you go the route of a puppy, make sure its reputable breeder, not a broker, or backyard breeder. As far as pure breed goes, in the end its still a dog. You may start looking for a pure breed, but come across a mix that steals your heart. One of my boys is a rescue and a mix, he is the sweetest dog I have ever come across (and I'm not just saying that because he is my dog).
