I cut straight across like scissors. I wouldn't want to cut on an angle because I think that would make the nail a bit sharp and easier to cut our gouge things and also I feel like it makes it a bit easier to cut the quick.

I normally only cut a small piece off of the end every week when I bathe her. Right after the bath because I feel like her nails are softer from being in the warm water.
