I have 8mo old and just got a new one on Christmas. I was afraid Zoie is my shadow and she might be jealous. She plays rough sometimes and I have to get after her. But she still is the same dog and so sweet. I think it depends on how they adjust to the new one just like a child when you bring home a new baby. I just make sure both my dogs get there time alone with me morning and night. Its like there own special time and that seems to work.
