I was just going to peek at this yorkie advertised in the paper...just peek! Male, 2 yrs old, unable to get their female pg. I just about died when I seen him...skinny...matted...so much hair between his pads...poop stuck to his rear end....grrrr! Yep, you got it....ran to the banK and got the cash and bought him with out even calling the hubby (what was I thinking???)
He is the sweetest thing!!! He is really good about going out to go potty. But they must have kept him in a kenel most of the time as he acts like he is scared to come out.
OK, I can deal with the hubby being mad at me for spending the $$...he will get over it (he is already falling in love with him!!) But what do I do about the marking??? He goes in to be nutered this Friday...is there ANY chance of him ever stoping this??? Please tell me there is! I am just so afraid that hubby wont want me to keep him if it keeps up as bad as it is. PLEASE GIVE ME ALL THE ADVICE YOU CAN....I AM ALREADY IN LOVE AND UNDER HIS SPELL!!!

He should get better after he's neutered, but don't count on him ever being 100% trustworthy. Bellybands will keep you sane while dealing with him. My Cosmo was/is a marker and I think he always will be. He rarely does it now, but sometimes the urge to claim something overcomes him! You might try the tether method, putting a leash on him and attaching it to you so you can see everything he does. That way you can catch him in the act. Catching him every time and correcting him will help and bellybands will protect your carpet and furniture in the meantime. God bless you for taking this sweetie in and best of luck with him.
