I teach so I took a sick day, although I am technically not sick. I couldn't go off and leave Porsche alone with the puppies yet. I would've been sick with worry.
I really shouldn't be telling all this, but I am past the point of worrying about it now.
So, now I've got the day to get lesson plans, correct papers, and get ready for a week of teaching, if Porsche and the puppies will let me. Maybe I'll even get a nap. Porsche finally dragged the puppies up into her favorite spot on the couch. She wouldn't stay in the whelping box, just sat outside of it looking in and whining. Is there a manual that goes with this puppy thing? I know I looked for one with my own children when they were babies. No such thing!
Should I crate her with them? That way she can't drag them all over. I really have to back to school tomorrow. I feel guilty not being with my students. After all, they need me too.
