Last night at bedtime we couldn't find Maxwell. After frantically hunting the house over, he was found trapped under the lazy boy loveseat recliner that had closed on him and MERCIFULLY did not hurt or kill him with the metal springs and bars under there!!! He was fine and didn't even bark, because he probably just decided this is a nice dark place to sleep. I would not have a recliner of any kind in my home. Friends of mine lost an 18-month-old grandson who got his head caught in the footrest of a recliner. He was only alone in the room for a minute or so, but it was long enough.
