I don't know if this is known information but I was told by a groomer to never brush your puppies/dogs while in your lap. It helps if you always set them on a table/counter or somewhere high where they are standing in front of you when ever you are doing any type of grooming. That way they get used to it being that way and the groomers aren't introducing a whole new experience when they come in. It is easier on the pups if they are used to it. I have never brought my girls to a groomer but I always do their grooming on the counter or on bath day on the grooming table and they are awful if I try to groom them anywhere else. Also lots of treats for a job well done.. or even for a somewhat ok job lol |
