Ssshhhh! Although it is iligal here, we have a tortoise. I inherited him from my parents when they passed. An aunt had given him to my parents about 45 yrs ago. He is completely tame, lives in a tiny house my dad had made for him. The house is on our covered patio which lead to the "yorkie yard". He is best friends with one of my cats, Munchie! He eats watermelon, tomatoes, lettuce and SNAILS.
It's great because he keeps the snail population in my garden down.
When he hears my voice he comes "running to me" They are actually quite fast.
He often comes in the house and finds me in here on YT.
I know it is wrong to keep wild or protected animals, but after all these years he would not survive in the wild. Plus, I love him to bits.
