Oh Wow that's horrible. I'm glad they got shut down. those poor dogs have such a sad life.
Since network TV has nothing on any more, we've been watching Dogtown on the nat geo channel on Friday nights. They take in a lot of dogs that come from puppy mills. Last week they showed where they had come to Omaha to get some dogs from a puppy mill that the local shelter were going to put down because they were vicious little things. One looked light it might have been a yorkie, after they got it cleaned up. He responed well to kuindness, and they were able to rehabilitate him.
